Every inspection conducted by Cliff Hepburn, Home Inspector, is designed to help you move forward with confidence. If significant issues are discovered, clear documentation and proper context can strengthen repair negotiations or support a price adjustment.
If only minor defects are identified, you can move forward knowing your new home is everything you expected it to be.
Communication
Technical skill and knowledge are essential but they’re only part of the job. During the inspection and our review, I walk you through my findings, answer your questions, and explain which issues matter most so you can move forward fully informed and confident.
My reports are photo-rich and clearly written, providing you with a thoroughly documented, actionable resource. Each finding is supported with images and concise explanations that clearly illustrate what was discovered and why it matters.
What is inspected?
From foundation to chimney, I will inspect all the systems that make up your new home.
A home is made up of multiple interconnected systems. For example, the roof is not just shingles, it includes the roof covering, underlayment, flashing, framing, and other essential components working together as a system.
Each major system is further divided into functional categories and subcategories to ensure a detailed evaluation of every area of the home. I methodically assess each component, carefully observing its condition, identifying deficiencies, and noting its overall state of repair and maintenance.
